Since it’s inception this Spring, NBCares has been advocating for our neighbors to protect our rural community from the whims of opportunistic developers who see dollar signs in our bucolic landscape. We aren’t against growth- we are for SMART growth that takes into account traffic, safety, the environment, home values, and aesthetics. NBCares is a a non-profit 501c6 watch-dog, created to make sure that township committees make growth decisions with proper input from the community. But this requires funding, and bank account needs help. Every dollar matters when hiring engineers, lawyers and consultants, and as they say, “you get what you pay for” – advocacy costs money.
